The Velence area is one of the outstanding landscapes of the Cenral Transdanubian Region. Lake Velence is the third largest lake in Hungary. Because of sunshine and the shallowness, it is one of the hottest lake of Europe: the temperatures of the water in summer even amounts 26 to 28 ^◦C. The water in the lake, the beauty of Velence hills, the cultural and sport events will help you to have a fabulous time. Out of the grassy beaches the nearly sport centers also provide facilities to do sport or to the recreation. It is everywhere possible to rent a boat, surf or a paddle-boat also.

One trip with a pleasure boat on the lake can be an unforgettable experience for every age-groups. There are a lot of places of interest: unique stone formations in Pákozd, Military Memorial, Levelling mark in Nadap, Bird Reserv, churches, pleasant cellars, good restaurants.
